We are officially finished with Unit 1 in Language Arts. We will have our Unit 1 test on Monday, October 18th. I would be good to review the sight words, rhyming words, letters Tt/t/ and Mm/m/, character and setting. I have placed the Unit 2 sight words in the weekly communicator folder so you can begin to practice those new words with your child!
In Math this week we worked on the terms fewer, more and equal groups. Next week we will learn numbers 0-5. We continue practicing counting from 1-31 and identifying shapes and colors. It might be a good idea to have your child practice drawing the shapes at home. Also, please continue to practice patterns!
In Science we began discussing external body parts. Next week we will finish making our scarecrows and we will talk about internal body parts. In the pictures below Kyla and Adrian and Kiersten and Collin are taking turns identifying external body parts.
Parent Visitation is Tuesday, October 19th and Wednesday, October 20th. I look forward to seeing you! Please remember to keep to your 30 minute scheduled time period since I have many visitors coming in both days.
Thank you to everyone who donated Clorox wipes and tissues. I greatly appreciate it!
