Reading Fun!

This week we worked on letter Ee /e/.  We practiced reading CVC words with /e/.  Please review these words at home (men, ten, bell, sell, pet, wet).  Many of the words will be on the Friday test!  At this point in the year students should be able to read most CVC words fluently.  The best way to help your child become a fluent reader is to have them practice reading sentences at home every night!  Please refer to the tan booklet that comes home each week and the weekly homework for sentences your child can practice reading!

Subtraction

On Friday we will be having the subtraction test.  We will spend most of this week reviewing for the upcoming test.  Please take a look at the worksheets that come home each day as well as the homework.  Reviewing those papers will help prepare your child for the test.

Today as a warm-up the students worked with a partner to review subtraction equations. I read a subtraction word problem and the students had to draw a picture and write the equation.
